The Born Learning Trail

Play, learn and grow with your child along each step of a fun and educational pathway

The Born Learning Trail is a public outdoor area that combines fun games with holistic child development activities to turn each step along the path into a learning opportunity. Parents, caregivers, and kids together can get active, have fun, and boost their skills in each of the five key domains of child development.

Every child is born learning, but not every one arrives at kindergarten ready for school. One of the key components of OPEN’s Ready, Set, Go! program is to help New Orleans kids develop into smarter, stronger and safer citizens through holistic early childhood supports, and we’re proud to have brought the trail to our city. The first New Orleans Born Learning Trail came to the Vietnamese Initiatives in Economic Training (VIET)’s Village de L’est community center in Fall 2013 — look for the Broadmoor trail coming to the Rosa F. Keller Library in 2014!
