Community Educator Action Groups Are

Small groups of citizens improving public education in New Orleans through social projects that focus on issues identified by its members.

Key attributes of community educators:

  • Solution-oriented frame of reference
  • Ability to identify systems-level changes
  • Commitment to supporting youth of New Orleans

AS PART OF A CEAG, YOU’LL:

  • Increase community awareness of key issues
  • Explore individuals’ narratives, experiences, and skills
  • Develop solution-oriented critical thinking about community challenges
  • Explore projects at the local, statewide, and nationwide scales
